Four Day Online Introductory Training Announcement
We are excited to invite you to our Four day Online Introductory Training in Open Dialogue.
The virtual door is open to anyone who is interested.
This course is delivered across four days in two bocks – designed for people already working in mental health and related fields – from prevention and early identification through to acute care. We have a number of people approaching us from schools and youth services as Open Dialogue has the potential to be transformative for school communities. It elevates the voice of the child and is a whole of school approach.
Open Dialogue is a way of listening and learning, of being present with a person and their network and of ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard. It changes how we approach mental health care.
The approach is recognised by the World Health Organization because it elevates the voice and agency of the individual and their rights, enabling truly person-centered and compassionate care to be transformative for individuals, families and the workforce.
If you work as a clinician, counsellor or lived experience professional, this course will provide you with a good introduction to how Open Dialogue can be transformative.
Facilitators learn to shift the power structures in our systems to create the space for recovery-oriented solutions to emerge that are sustained by family and community involvement.
